Gearbest.com - Any good?

Looks like my Elephone U pro is progressing faster than I anticipated, was shipped on the 12th from Gearbest with Aramex, at customs in JHB tonight

Okay so I got an email saying my order (which is 8 items) has been shipped. However its showing one piece and called PC Fittings even though its not...

Still fine?

So got a call this afternoon from a lady at Aramex asking for my email address and ID number for customs clearance, and a while after the call my tracking status updated to:

Held in Customs - Awaiting Customer Instructions

The guys that's gone through this process before, do I need to do anything other than wait now, or am I supposed to contact somebody?

They now going to email you an invoice with customs charges which you need to pay and email them POP.

Once they generate the invoice, the Aramex APP will have an amount next to "Amount Due" so then you know you should expect the invoice to arrive in your inbox and if it doesn't, phone them to request it.
 
Came across https://www.teknistore.com/en/ today and their DHL fees are even cheaper than Tinydeal. Looking at about $26 for a phone with DHL which is great, paid about 10 more with tinydeal.

Wherever you decide to buy from also search for coupon discount codes for the particular site, you can easily knock $10 or more off your order.

Doesn't say anything about split order.

can someone tell me how long does it take for the status of my parcelle to change? It has been at "under processing at operation facility" in Johannesburg since Friday. When will it change? Spoke to Aramex on Thursday and gave them all my details. I live in cape town

Chinese New Year. It is sitting at the Gearbest shipping co awaiting handover to Aramex.

Expect movement towards the end of this week

What did you order and the value thereof? If under R500 it should move on today. If over R500, has it been in the customs stage yet?

It is a cellphone, value is over 400$ but elephone I believe put on the invoice 175$ or 200$ can't remember. It went from "custom clearance in progress" then "under processing at operation facility" on that same day, Friday
