Gearbest.com - Any good?

That is great news, do you have any idea of the new shipping company might be a bit more lenient with lithium batteries?
I am still waiting for a confirmation due to the limitations of shipping from China in regards to batteries. I will request feedback and advise.
Howsit @GearBestZA,
Any feedback on this?
Currently, we are working on a new shipping method. That new method should be able to support the shipping of batteries but can only be confirmed once the deal is signed. They are still busy in discussions and confirming pricing to ensure it is the same pricing if not cheaper. They are still busy confirming but once I know, I will advise.
Are there any Chinese online stores that will ship Lithium batteries to us? (at reasonable prices)
BangGood, GearBest and HobbyKing don't.
AliExress will, but the sellers only have insanely prices courier options (I've seen $80 shipping for a $2 LiPo!:wtf:)
...I need cheap LiPos for my RC toys

@GearbestZA
How legit is their Facebook Messenger facility? I asked when my O/N would ship and it replied with 1-2 business days and then told me my option was WAIT (cheeky)?

Batteries is a big issue out of China. The issue is with regards to the regulations and paperwork required to ship it. Due to most forwarding companies declining it upfront, makes it very difficult. It is also a lot pricier as you cannot ship standalone batteries in shipping companies that ship on airlines. PM me a link to the item you want and I can see what I can arrange. If it is common, we can maybe arrange it through AramexGlobalShopper if the correct shipping country is used.

That is generally their answer. I have used the Facebook Messenger and got a response pretty quickly. What was more shocking is that I sent a support ticket 20min ago and got a response within 5 min. And it was a proper response with all the information I needed and not a generic response. Not bad since they are at 02:30am on their side. Hope they keep pushing like this as there are small issues that need work to get a next to perfect service.

Anyone ordered a notebook? Im curious how much customs would be... Especially on those $200 ones.

Congrats

I'm still in processing and I ordered 9/02. I need to buy them a faster processing CPU

And FINALLY Packed. Aramex App also has the parcel as record created and shows my tracking number. At long last!

So I just received this message twice:

The second email was from igogo.com where I have never shopped.
There is no reference number in the email, and my order on gearbest still shows as packed. Really hoping that it was sent in error as I stand to lose R650 in exchange rate fluctuations, nevermind the discounts that aren’t available anymore.

The problem with them is that they don't list items in or out stock. At one point I made an order of around 6 items but was told on 1 or 2 items were in stock

Either way they refunded me

I suggested they should add a feature to make buyers aware of items available or not but they said "it's up to the buyer to make sure items are available" again that made no sense considering it gave no info whether items are available or not.

Now days, I message gearbest and send them links of the products asking if these items are in stock and then order.
