Gearbest.com - Any good?

And they have the Mi A1 on special but I don't wanna pull the trigger because I do not have the patience to deal with all of the above issues....

Meizu M6 Note is a better phone, especially from a camera & battery life perspective.
 
Ag FFS here we go again.
Bit the bullet and ordered some Mi TV boxes yesterday.
Selected my work address(the Paypal email confirms the address was selected), and lo and behold Gearbest decide I selected my PO box.

Remember that address is always selected from your GearBest account and not your Paypal unless you do a Paypal Checkout without logging in. Why not just update your address on checkout? It does give you the option to do it and that should have been done.

Nope, no update from Aramex tracking or @GearBestZA , still the same tracking message...
Let me know if anything changes on your side.

Has anyone successfully received their orders from say Black Friday to date?

This is an issue with Aramex. I have had the issue around 3 times last year between Hong Kong and Dubai. Normally comes right after 3-4 days and then moves again as normal. If it does not, then Aramex will have to be called to find out what is going on.

Just out of curiosity....is it often that gearbest/aramex packages go through Dubai???

Yeah. It is the service they use. Aramex Express is the most common but most expensive service offered by them. Gearbest uses Priority Line with Aramex which is a bit cheaper and works better since Aramex Express is around R200+ a KG. Anything with Priority Line is routed through Dubai most of the time.

Give them a call on 0113903520, option 2 and give them the tracking number. Ask them to email the invoice through. If you already got the invoice and have paid, reply to the original mail with the invoice and give them the proof of payment and ask them to confirm payment and arrange for release. It should be delivered to you in the next day or two once they release even if payment is made today.

I've tried calling them a few times and after 10 minutes of waiting to connect the phone cut outs! Anything else I can try?
 
Also having issues with aramex with package stuck at customs and aramex won't lift a finger to do anything


Also saw this one site where like 52 out 100 packages that aramex delivers are never delivered 0.0

Do you have a link with that statistics? Aramex ships hundreds of thousands of packages and don't expect their issues to be so high. I shipped around 40+ packages for myself last year and didn't have one issue. Some delays but no major issues. But since December last year, there has been a few more issues then usual.
 
and i was hoping to get it for the weekend....oh well....
