Intel (corporation) makes Pentium and now Core 2 Duo processors.

AMD makes Athlon 64. Athlon 64 dual cores are much cheaper then Intel dual cores, I couldn't buy one (Intel) with R1000. Need at least R50 more...

hmmm... piece of advice the amd 6000+ is same speed as intel E6600 only thing is amd mobo's are cheap, and the intel can overclock, so look at which of the two things you much rather have(money for other things or more POWER)
