That 35mm is the 27th best lens listed on the DXO site. The Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM is number one if you are looking for a high quality lens (and it costs a similar amount).

These are both fixed lenses aren't they ? I know primes are meant to be better - but I really prefer the zoom lenses. I don't like the restrictions of a prime. I have a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens - never used it.

35mm and 85mm. Very different purposes.

Same here. I've got one prime, out of necessity, the rest are all variable.

As a sport photographer, you could not use a fixed lens unless you were doing portraits I suppose or the cup presentation at the end. But I still like being able to zoom into the scene rather than walking into it.
I just feel more flexible / less restricted with a variable :) But perhaps my pics would be better....

My main sports lens is a [fixed] 400mm f/2.8, I might have traded it in for the 200-400 f/4 if the light, or lack of, wasn't an issue at many of the places where I shoot.

Anyway, walking isn't the same a zooming.

I see the Tamron A009 SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Lens for Canon is in stock at CameraWorld? Maybe a mistake, maybe they found some stock in a back room somewhere?

Either way, at ~R11 700 it's worth a try. I bought one from them a year or so ago, and it is an amazing lens.

Picked up a Godox AD200 Pro yesterday with a second on order - I think I'm going to have fun with these.

What issue?

When uploading a batch from my DSLR, IG resizes and crops it which causes some pics to lose significant detail. It does not allow you to edit each one as you have to leave all at one size.

Just trying to check if there is a way around this.

If you export with the crop you want, and resize it yourself, does IG not respect that when you upload and choose Original? From what I remember 1080 on the longest side is supposed to give the best results.

Those are awesome, relative to their size they have huge light output and amazing runtime.
I’m assuming you got one of their wireless triggers to remotely control the power and trigger them?

I moved all my lighting kit over to Godox a few years back, bargain prices compared to buying camera brand(Canon, Nikon etc) stuff and mines worked flawlessly.

For now I'm still using my pocket wizards. I'll probably stick with those until I've got a few more AD200s since most of my other lights aren't compatible.

They work fine with other brand triggers, it’s just nice to control the power remotely and get HSS when you use the Godox trigger. Watch FB marketplace, you can often pick them up for under R1000, just remember for TTL and HSS you need the brand specific Godox trigger, Nikon, Fujifilm etc.
