When it acts like a animal you treat it like an animal, no exemptions.
I agree, both the looters and the criminal cop acted like animals so should be treated as such.

In his case it was not animal behaviour though, it was criminal dereliction of duty or abuse of power perhaps, I don't know the best term for it.I agree, both the looters and the criminal cop acted like animals so should be treated as such.
You sometimes just can't fix stupid.....
That was done purely in regular political interest the way the russian mindset works. There was also a personal grudge against Hillary involved, it really had nothing much to do with much else.Would this be the kind of "shameless political agitator" that would attempt to influence a US election in as many ways as possible in order to get their favoured weak candidate elected...
...or not?

He calmly did what he did which in itself might count against him in court.
He was still acting rationally and directed his actions with deliberation. The mob looses control and gleefully destroys in ways that debases their humanity. We'll have to agree to disagree on that. He pulled the guy out of the car to rough him up, and the oke ended up dead.

I am not arguing in moral terms here, this is all logic.
He doesn't appear to be lying like the Twitter claims.Sorry for 3 posts on the same thing.
This guy can take a beating, unlike the antifa ones.
How do you know that's false? At first I assumed it's his own helmet.
True to a point but neither of us were there. We probably assume the junky having been in different behavioral states..... drugs like meth and fentynol rarely leave their abusers in calm states.... and if they do the length of calm can be impossible to predict. It can be that the officer also just lost his temper and did something stupid in a fit of irritation.... either way he has to pay his wages whatever they might be.We'll have to disagree on that point as well, I don't think it was rational to take a calm criminal, high on drugs that was already under control out of the car and roughing him up.
Stating the obvious and then "knowing" exactly what the "MAGA's" view is on the story.![]()

It just seems to me that a lot of the nuance is being lost in the orgy of emotionalism.
Note, rational does not mean condonable. Hitler for example was completely rational when he sent people to camps, so was Stalin and Moa. It all was completely rational, evil but rational.
EDIT: the use of a knee without bothering to check the effect is probably his biggest mistake.
I think it's drunk..... I'm starting to think it always gets drunk before it types. Would explain everything.Stating the obvious and then "knowing" exactly what the "MAGA's" view is on the story.![]()

Rational is not something that is objective, it has always been subjective. The idea that it is objective is a flaw in human reasoning because it assumes that everybody that thinks like you is rational and everyone that does not is irrational..... this in itself is subjective thinking.his actions were indeed directed with deliberation, but in what parallel universe is kneeling on somebody's neck rational ?
oh my !
I never said it is an excuse, I always said he must get punished correctly whatever his specific crime was. The danger here is mob-court instead of court of law.Him losing his temper is no excuse, he is busy doing what he gets paid to do. And his "mistake" left a guy dead. You say you don't condone it but you are sure going out of your way to think up excuses for the dirty cop.
He has the helmet in the original video. Watch the videos for yourself and stop falling for the fake news. This is the incident we had a few pages back. In the original video the guy has a cell phone.

The irony is people are advocating actually lynching (even if only figuratively) him while screaming that lynchings are wrong.
