I don’t even know why I’m entertaining this but sure, I’ll give you one, only because I had screenshot it. Good thing I did, because it’s now deleted. As most racist posts are which is what makes it difficult to find them.

But of course we’ll hear why it’s not racist.

And that’s a mild one. I’ll just tag you in future.

Could you point out the racism here?

Could you point out the racism here?

Who do you think is being referred to when saying “fckem cuntz”?

Hint: it’s not the rapist or his buddy.

Edit: not to mention “blacks broke in”

Not even “black people”.

“Blacks”. Could’ve been worse I guess, he could’ve said “The blacks”.

Check out all the interpretation here , a load of assumptions are being made here by the self proclaimed non-racist.
So many assumptions with no facts , the pro tip here is , there was no racism in that post.

I guess whoever reported it and whoever deleted it would disagree with you.

Well done @Emjay. I regret this already. The same would be done for any post deemed “racist”.

It's no different from the kind of language Julius uses. "white people this...white people that"

/sigh

Yeah I don't know. Seems pretty tame in comparison to the language Julius uses.
Anyway I'm not venturing any further into this circle jerk of a thread. If that post offends you then you're pretty thin skinned.
I live across the road from a less privileged community, I'm more concerned about what happens there.
Peace.

It’s not about what was said. The dangerous part about it is that this person has an attitude of “fck all the people who look like the people that did this horrible thing”. That’s the problem. There are a lot of people with that attitude.

But maybe our resident expert @Jabulani22 can tell us what was meant by that post.

or our resident deflector @abzo could tell us why when he chose to call it racist then say others have to answer his strawman argument.

Ask him what it meant , i didnt do what you did by trying to interpret other people's thoughts.

Well obviously it is a big no no to refer to the race when black people are the perpetrators so massive racism right there since we all know that is only allowed when whites do bad things. Also how dare he refer to the people that raped his grandmother as c#@$, that is exactly the same as when julias makes sweeping generalisations about white people. Also this one post is more than enough evidence to support continually calling all of mybb racist even though we dont agree with the things he said and even though most threads are full of comrades teaching us the correct and enlightened way of thinking.

Like in Camden, New Jersey? Oh wait, the opposite happened.

Or in New York, when cops had a strike, and crime went down.

Racial superiority is not the same as slavery, try again.

EDIT: also no one "defended slavery" they defended their then legal right to import more.... a completely different thing.

You're like the poster child for Lost Cause myth-making.

South Carolina's Declaration of Causes:
A geographical line has been drawn across the Union, and all the States north of that line have united in the election of a man to the high office of President of the United States, whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery.

Mississippi:
Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery—the greatest material interest of the world. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union...

Louisiana:
As a separate republic, Louisiana remembers too well the whisperings of European diplomacy for the abolition of slavery in the times of annexation not to be apprehensive of bolder demonstrations from the same quarter and the North in this country. The people of the slave holding States are bound together by the same necessity and determination to preserve African slavery.

It goes on.

Read the words of Jefferson Davis, of the Southern Governors, of the Confederate publications etc.

They're extremely clear what it was about.

Of course, how else is the average rioter meant to watch the history channel if they don't have the latest 4K Sony Bavaria...

Statues are a part of human history. The values are whatever the public wish to place on them. If people didn't recognize them as part of history they would make them out of paper mache and burn them.

Interesting angle here, konfab. Pro-Stalin statues in England and Germany. How else would they know history?

No it isn't actually.
History is there for people to read and draw their own conclusions from. This is what civilization demands of people.

The false premise here is the idea that history as it has been taught for generations is objective and entirely accurate.

A lot of Southern states taught clear myths and falsehoods in their official history curriculum until 2018! Some still do. In 2010, Republicans in Texas explicitly rewrote their history curriculum to peddle more myths and favour their own political ideology. In Britain, in 2014, Michael Gove explicitly rewrote the history curriculum to whitewash elements of Britain's past.

Except of course, the presidency, the senate, and the power to actually make and enforce laws. Right wing political bodies are still in ACTUAL power in the US and the UK the last I checked.

There's one constant to modern conservatism - endless victimhood. They can be in control of the most powerful institutions in the world and they'll still whine that they're losing and are actually the victims.

Revisionism has entered the chat.

Perfect illustration of why the 'muh statues = history' argument falls apart. The blatant a-historical nonsense rambo is spouting is propagated by the Lost Causers, quite often aided by erecting Confederate statues in States long after the war ended, and in states that had nothing to do with the Confederacy.
