Yes, who was the political opposition to Antifa in 1932? What were they doing at this time?

What did they eventually do?
See post above yours.
Instead of wasting time, why not just come out and say what you think?

Britain almost immediately enforced a trade blockade on Germany when they attacked Poland, but the Soviets would be open for business for the next two-years, the literal lifeline of the German war machine in terms of strategic resources.

Talking about narratives, Chamberlain was one of Hitlers biggest appeasers. Besides the communists were not ok with the fascists despite the Molotov Ribbentrop pact.

We are the victims say the guys dishing out beatings
The media are turning all police into the enemy they have a point. It's a dangerous game to play as some emotional teenager is going to take it seriously and get himself killed. Some have already died. It's a matter of time.

You are wasting time by not answering a simple question. Who was the opposition. What did they do?

If you’re a SJW that takes pleasure in seeing what is happening in US and around the world on the back of George Floyd’s memory you are lower than pond scum and deserve everything that is coming to you.

Mess with the bull long enough and you will get the horns. Only so much the LEO’s are going to take and by then it will be to late.

some of the comments there...

im a retail worker. we have more interactions with people each day than police officers by a mile. we REGULARLY get people screaming in our faces, abusing us, and treating us like dirt. i can't name a single time a retail worker has so much as assaulted a customer. up your game.

this clever dwis comparing retail work to police work.

no wonder they are in the dumps, the people are dumb as fork.

Yes, and his government collapsed quickly once war broke out.

On the other hand, Churchill was openly critical of Chamberlain's policy of appeasement from the outset.

Besides the communists were not ok with the fascists despite the Molotov Ribbentrop pact.

Of course there was mutual hatred on ideological lines, but let us not act like they fought the Nazis for being racist and oppressive as the ''OG Antifa'' narrative tries to paint it.

The Communist Party of America (member of the Comintern) also campaigned against US involvement and opposed any sort of aid to Britain's war effort.

Banksy reveals brilliant plan for Bristol’s toppled Colston Statue

nMfi7qfppXC9pKnMB7skfY-650-80.jpg

Keeping "everyone happy".

Protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement have been taking place across the world over the last few weeks, after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. In one of the most symbolic images from this weekend's protests, the statue of 18th century slave trader Edward Colston was toppled in Bristol, and pushed into the harbour.

As debate rages over whether the statue should be reinstated, left in the harbour, or pulled out and put in the city's museum, the mysterious Bristol-based street artist Banksy has proposed a solution (below) to keep "everyone happy". He suggests putting the statue back on its plinth, but with the addition of other life-size statues of the protestors pulling it down. If you're a Banksy fan, don't miss our favourite street art examples.

Banksy's proposal is certainly inventive, not only catering (albeit with his signature wry humour) to those who'd rather see the statue restored, but also paying tribute to the protestors on the "famous day" that saw it pulled down this weekend.

This isn't Banksy's only response to the recent Black Lives Matter protests this week. He also shared a new artwork depicting a vigil with a candle setting fire to the American flag. Other artists have also taken inspiration from the toppling of Colston's statue, such as Pete Fowler, whose amusing take on David Hockney's 'A Bigger Splash' has been making waves on Instagram.

Time will tell what happens to the empty plinth where Edward Colston once stood in Bristol. In the meantime, find out how Creatives everywhere are standing together in support of the Black Lives Matter movement right now, and how you can help.

Latinos are white now? I didn't know, but I'll gladly accept them.
But the surname isn't only found amongst the latinos. It originates from continental Europe and specifically, the Iberian peninsula, where white supremacists have a presence.

Edit: So, the Fernandez you're referring to could just be from Madrid.:)

You just don't like my answers, which is why I'm asking what it is you think.
You are not debating anything, just repeating the same questions over and over.
What a waste ...

I will just sit here with my . When the authorities demonstrably fail to protect key parts of Britain's heritage by left-wing loons, then you are asking for conflict from the extremist fringe of the other side.

This thread is instructive:

You brought up the subject about their political opposition, so who was their opposition?

Since you haven't said who they are and what they were doing in 1932? There has been no debate, just you dodging the subject, you brought up.

Why are there no monuments to the atrocities committed by the Empire through its long standing history?

These are key parts of Britain's heritage.

That's just what the media want. They are begging for someone to take a stand against the "peaceful protesters" because that would be proof of racism and justify everything.

That's why I believe things like statues and such should have dedicated display areas where full history of their existence can be explained. Their prominence serves np purpose in modern society.
