You're trying but failing hard.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue Scroll down it's there.

There's more.

Everybody knows it's a statue except those that want to redefine what a statue is by the looks of things.

Ok it is clear that you don't understand what the difference is between what is a memorial and what is a statue.

A memorial commemorates or honours a collective. It can consist of a statue, group of statues, a building, a shrine, a wall or the battlefield itself.

The defining feature being, what it was commemorated for.

Here is the inscription on the Marine Corps War Memorial -

For the Marine dead of all wars, and their comrades of other services who fell fighting beside them.

The National Parks Service that looks after memorials in the USA refer to it as -

The United States Marine Corps War Memorial

It is not called the USMC War Statue.

Here you go.

This is how the Russians have done it.

Lol. Typical. Lets have a safe space so that people don't get there feelings hurt out in the real world if they encounter a statue that they don't even know who it is and that offer no historical or educational value, so they are also not going to look it up.

Nope. Declaring all statues as an open air museum and protecting it is way better.

Being a memorial does NOT change the fact that it's a statue.

What else should I say? You're trying to put words in my mouth and impute things I never intended to mean. I'm not "fine" with tearing down or vandalizing the majority of statues or memorials. I just think Confederate "heroes" who were actually traitors who fought for slavery have no right to being honoured and memorialized in the streets, it's disgraceful and an open f you to black Americans.
Does that include black slave owners , the guys who sold them and any others involved in transport/feeding etc ?

Lol, what a load of sht, it is almost as if Xarog posted it. 20 paragraphs to say one thing.

Doesn't matter how many "felonies" someone commits in than span of 2 minutes, racking them up to make the person sound like Hitler doesn't justify gunning him down in the back
It is in the law that the officer may use deadly force against the guy , he did , he was right to do so.

No it does. The fact that Ike commemorated it as a memorial is what makes it a memorial.

He did not commemorate it as a statue.

Its official name is a memorial.

How do you feel about just renaming the statue of Winston Churchill to the Winston Churchill memorial. Then it should be protected. Lol.

Looks like I might have to explain why I chose who I chose since some people are taking it too seriously.

Emjay - thought it’s obvious but because she’s the only woman here.

SoldierMan - looks like he could be a war veteran.

Rietrot - that mischievous look. You know he’s going to stir up trouble.

Gingerbeardman - Self-explanatory

Jabulani22 - This face just screams “moer me”

FTFY .....runs......

Trevor Noah on the killing of Rayshard Brooks: 'When is it enough?'
The Daily Show host delivers an emotional monologue on another shooting of an unarmed black man by police – plus a rare bit of supreme court good news

Trevor Noah

After yet another shooting of an unarmed black man by police, Trevor Noah began Monday’s Daily Show with an emotional, searching monologue on the cyclical senselessness of armed police interactions and anti-black racism in America. “Another Monday in the middle of corona and in the middle of protests about police brutality, and yet it’s another Monday of another police brutality incident,” Noah said. “Another story that has people going, ‘How long? How much? When is it enough?’”

As much as I hate agreeing with the resident broederbonders, I just watched that video, that guy brought it on himself. He knows these US cops are trigger happy brain dead fools, why give them a reason to shoot you?

The guy was stupid... no argument.
But cops should use minimum force and appropriate to the situation

The guy was found pissed in his car.
They tried to arrest. He resisted, nicked a Tazer etc.

There was no need to shoot him. Get him later.

You keep on telling yourself that memorial is not a statue.

Agreed on that, there was no need to shoot him. Also if he was sleeping in his car and not driving he could've been waiting to sober up or for someone to come fetch him, as long as he wasn't operating the vehicle the cops could've been a bit more lenient. But as per my other post it's obvious that the US cops are power drunk idiots, why not just co-operate instead of giving them reason to shoot you? For him the consequence was death, hopefully the cops will now also get the consequences of their actions.
