The intention of BEE was to make "black" people rich at the cost of favoring them in tender processes. That is pure corruption at the level of legislation.

BEE counts for a very small portion of the points needed to award a tender. Price counts most, so provided there's no corruption involved white business's are not as disadvantaged as you would like to believe.

I can tell you about traditional white culture on myBB (some). Basically, everyone in this culture lays exclusive personal claim & pride for all the collective inventions of Irish, italian, greek, american, british (and so on) done in all the human history while denying any other "naughty" bits because those naughty bits were done by individuals.

Italians & Greeks were not even considered white at one stage but somehow they made it. :p

Even the Irish weren't white enough at one stage, and were even used as slaves.

Not the biggest fan of Macron but he's got it right here.
well, to be accurate, ...the French Revolution got to them (statues) first.

I know that even if he literally said "I'm racist" you'd still deny it but here goes....

Perhaps you wish to reconsider your sources. I love looking at links (unlike some here, making things off as blanket yadda yaddah, warrah warrash). Here is the problem with splcenter.org: 20 pages in on hate, with ~8+ articles/page, not a single artcile on black extremists/hate. A statistical impossibility. Perhaps they need to rename their Hatewatch to Biasedwatch. :cautious:

Yep

Exactly my point but with great effort and extraordinary skills, they converted to the white race; no one here understands it.
I'm still waiting for the Irish to demand reparations for the sins of their masters, like other groups have. I somehow don't think that's going to happen, though.

Just anything between 0 and 135% of the tender cost....

True, they are the superior race tribe now so they have forgiven their own tribe's naughty past

Lol BS.

Please point out which part of my post was bullshit.

The following Preference Point Systems are applicable from 1 April 2017, to all Organ of State bids:

  • the 80/20 Preference Point System for bids with a Rand value of more than R30,000-00 but not exceeding R50,000,000-00 (all applicable taxes included); and
  • the 90/10 Preference Point System for bids with a Rand value above R50,000,000-00 (all applicable taxes included).

This means that on the 80/20 system your B-BBEE status level will earn you a point out of 20, and on the 90/10 system your B-BBEE status level will earn you a point out of 10.

Not some, but the majority at the time, actually. That's how referendums work.

That's how voting works yes, but the point is if you make the flip argument about that you get told you can't do that.

So what does that mean in terms of what the government will actually pay according to the racial bean counting?
The table I posted showed the effects, but if you don't believe me:

What this means is that a business scoring 80 points (out of 109) counts as 100% BEE. i.e. R1 spent on that business counts as R1 of BEE procurement spend. Companies that achieve level 1 count far more (135% recognition of spend) meaning that big customer who buys from that business can afford to spend less (elsewhere) on BEE and still achieve the BEE procurement points it needs. Similarly, a company with only 40 points (level 8) is only worth 10c per Rand of spend. i.e. they may as well be non-compliant.

For most industries, a level 4 is the start at which BEE becomes ‘competitive’. This implies that at least 80 scorecard points must be earned.

In other words, it is completely arbitrary.
