Ive tried this recently and I can tell you that I will never, NEVER suggest that route to anyone.

The first lady insisted that she inspects my house before I am even allowed to see the dogs. She was only willing to do the inspection after I filled in a bunch of forms and eventually decided I cannot adopt from her. The demands she made was really silly. She felt that I cannot adopt one of her dogs because I don't have someone home during the day.

The other lady (different place) was worse than a telesales person and got very upset when I didn't want to take one of her dogs.
 
Guard dog? Go to SPCA and look for the one so pissed off with life that you wont let your children near him. That's the one you want.
 
Phoned my friend Adrienne didn't realise she knew all the registered breeders in the area :D.

That sucks the reason why they have kennels overflowing.

We are going to be best friends. :)

Beware of purebred pups. They end up having all kinds if health issues. Hips and hearts. My mom went through the heartbreak a few times. Now they have cat, and a mutt. :D

Thanks didn't do too bad the last time I did it with GSD Lucky who died from health problems was Rex's brother.

I had the exact same experience from Randburg SPCA a few years ago! The lady told me that it is animal abuse to have a dog home alone all day. :wtf:

If only she could see my household, because its more like a doggy hotel.
 
A bit OT, but a question for ichigo re aspergers (sp?): are you unable to feel compassion or how does it work? How does it affect your interpersonal relationships? Are you able to "love" or "hate"?
These are genuine questions I am curious about.

yes, but the feelings usually don't last long for me unless I constantly think about it.

So I feel sad the first day then the sadness vanishes not sure if it is cause I have become numb to it as I had so many close people die or if it is cause of my Aspergers.
