You think the cheap skates in this country have 2/3's fat and 1/3 obese? :)

Go get your free meals, get fat so you can spend more. The fatter the nation the more they make. Nobody can see it in America though they just keep stuffing their faces with fast food. They are the fattest nation and you can see why :)

Not sure where they get their stats from though, i know most of friends my and their girlfriends are not over-weight.

I find it hard to believe 1/2 girls are fat in this country, go walk around a shopping mall i see more attractive ladies than i do fat ladies.

Not quite sure where those stats come from to be honest. Interesting though never knew about that. Would not have thought we have an obesity problem in this country as bad as the americans have it. Must be the beer as opposed to the fast food over there :p

I was just thinking about all the people i see on a daily basis bringing me work and the clients i see and i do not see anything close to those stats.

The upper echelons of our society often forgets that what you actually see is probably about 3% of our population. The majority of people are the ones you never really see because they're unemployed and living in squatter camps or in rural areas. You see many of them every day but your mind filters them out and you only really focus on the people who fit your own social mold.

P.S. That's not a personal statement. Everyone works that way.
 
I dunno i notice everyone around me, even the guys who sell stuff at robots to the people who work at my local spar, hardware, woolies, take-aways etc.

Hardly any of them are fat.

I go to 3 different spar's, 2 woolies, romans pizza, i travel plenty and always take pamphlets, i would notice obese people for sure and even heavily over-weight people. So while i do not see the jobless how does a bbc reporter see all these jobless people?

Strange maybe someone else notices everyone they see is fat because according to that article we are over-run by fat people which in my view is far from the truth.
