Getting better sleep

Can you sleep on your side when wearing the CPAP?
My machine is on the side of my bed so at one point i had a mic stand over my bed with the cpap tube hanging off it so I could turn either way to lie sideways :X3: .

Glp1 is a peptide gets broken down in the stomach and is not as effective as the injectable. Some oral formulations exists out there.

The modern insulin pen needle is ultra fine you don't feel a thing these days. Once you get used to it it's as painless as taking a tablet
Yeah, sticking yourself with steel is definitely akin to swallowing a tablet. You pharmacists are sadists.

lol. You get used to it. The blood sugar finger prick is far worse. TBH im terrified of needles myself.

When im testing my own sugar it takes like 30 minutes to psych myself up to press the button on the lance

Also not all people find tablets painless. Those with poor swallowing reflexes really struggle and suffer from obstructions with dry compacted die pressed tabs like panado

i've just given up on sleep its a lost cause. I get what i can take and fill the gaps with caffeine.

For the past 3 weeks I've given up alcohol and have been jogging 10km 4-5 times a week.

I've gone from going to bed at 10pm and waking up at 1/2am and tossing the rest of the night to sleeping straight through (occasionally I wake up but roll over and fall asleep again.) Also feeling more refreshed in the morning and have more energy during the day.
Dewd....alcohol,any amount before bed is a nightmare for me and sleep.

Considered a sleep study? If it's apnea the mask might make a big difference. Study was fully covered by insurance.

Anyway...went mask shopping today and got a loan for a few nights. Wanted to try something else. See if it reduces air leaks.

I was told to try it. But haven’t. Bit apprehensive what they gonna find lol.

Just gonna leave this random information here.

New clinical studies show that GLP-1 agonist like ozempic improve sleep especially in over weight individuals.

Although its not as effective as cpap nor is it curative they do have a positive effect against sleep apnea.

Just saying ....

Doesn’t that make sense because they lose weight to start with?

Most sleep apnea being related to weight in the first place.

Yip. Can be decrease in inflammatory markers as well. GLP tends to make the pancreas release more insulin resulting in a drop in blood sugar which can also induce sleep. Same reason you get tired after you spike your sugar with a large meal then need a nap.

My biggest challenge are the hours I work and on a computer. As I work in two time zones, South Africa and New Zealand , I usually work till 11/12 at night to catchup with the Kiwis and then I am back in office again around 7/8am to get work done and catch them on the end of their day.

But I like the idea of going to a sleep clinic. Bonus of course if I can somehow make a lifestyle change first.

What is it that decreases inflammatory markers, Ozempic?

GLP1 agonists. Ozempic is just one drug in the class. There is a lot of study how fat controls hormones in your body which affectsinflammation and immunomodulation and so on. Basically it's restoring your body to peak performance in simple terms.

So simple don't quote me on that. Lol

Just do it
How much did Nike pay you for that :)

So one thing the has been helping a bit. Between work and travel (I’m in EU now) I haven’t drunk a Monster in about 2 weeks. I think it might be helping. I generally have them to help my headaches and keep me productive for longer. I’m more tired now but headaches are not too bad as ok having stronger coffee.

What’s also good at keeping you awake is when Mounjaro has kicked in and you decided to eat something too heavy too late and your body repays you by making it feel like a supernova setup camp in your stomach… :p

gonna park this here, found it helped me a ton with getting decent nights sleep,

Bought these as well due to many good reviews and recommendations. Arrived today.
Will report back in a week.

My only issue is waking up every morning between 2 and 3 am for no reason. Assuming cotisol spikes; I have cut out sugar and caffeine from my lifestyle for the past month and still having the wake-ups. This is my last resort before consulting with a doctor.
