Getting better sleep

Must be over dosing or using large doses or increasing the frequency of usage. The drug is subject to abuse as people stupidly assume more is better and faster. You be surprise how often that happens.

"ey my sinuses were so bad i just took 4 allergex" and so on.

My only issue is waking up every morning between 2 and 3 am for no reason. Assuming cotisol spikes; I have cut out sugar and caffeine from my lifestyle for the past month and still having the wake-ups. This is my last resort before consulting with a doctor.
Yup. Cut coffee, no phone after 20:00, no alcohol... basically dialled in what I could and this was still happening. Then after waking my sleep would be very restless.

Diagnosed with sleep apnea but it feels some nights like there's something else going on. Maybe I just need to give the CPAP more time.

Bought these as well due to many good reviews and recommendations. Arrived today.
Will report back in a week.

same with me , used to wake up randomly at 2-3 AM changed pillows, tried sleeping in different positions,
this helped a ton, and its all natural, take one tablet before sleep, and sleep really well.

gonna park this here, found it helped me a ton with getting decent nights sleep,

I can't have ashwaganda. Sends me into a panick attack that wants me to commit suicide. It was the weirdest feeling ever.

I would advise people to be careful and even if it is 'natural". Or consult with a doctor as well.

Lions Mane can also have some extremely negative effects on some people.

Hi guys hope all is all, I've been struggling to fall asleep naturally for a couple of years now and always found somebody to sell me anti anxiety/sleeping pills without a script.

Im currently on alprazolam 1mg per night or half if im naturally feeling tired.

Been battling to quit these for a while now but its really difficult, the closest pill if not stronger then these prescription meda is promethazine (OTC) but makes you feel very groggy the next day.

What do you guys suggest? Im thinking of trying out the sativa oil from cosmic bazaar for night and maybe a cbd rich oil for day use

I'm assuming you've already plucked the low hanging fruit. No devices before bed, getting exercise, eating well, caffeine early in the day, dark room etc. I also notice a correlation between how much doomscrolling i do during the day and quality of sleep.

Can anyone recommend a sleep doctor/clinic specialising in treating insomnia? If I google I can find some places even with good reviews but I'm hoping someone can share his/her good experience?

Wow, literally - the opposite to everything I do lol.

No devices before bed - COD before bed or Work before bed or doomscrolling.
Getting Exercise - Ok I do this, but not too often lately.
Eating well - Mounjaro makes me a bit picky, and i kinda just nibble at something when i fancy it.
Caffeine early in the day - HAHAHAHA. I have a monster next to my bed :p
Dark room - Nope, can't sleep if its too dark, i need a soft light on.

You didn't mention quiet, but i need the noise of the AC. If i don't have one I use Whitenoise Pro on my Homepod.

Though I think they're generally focused more on sleep apnea, at the initial consult they say that if they don't find sleep apnea they will refer to CBT specialist or suggest relevant treatment. Either way I suggest phoning them and asking if you can have a chat over the phone about what your issue is. First time I called them I was on the phone for a good 15 minutes going over my issues, them asking questions, me asking questions etc. At least at the end of that call you'll know whether a place like this is suited to you.

Many thanks, will do.

Update;

The HMT cortisol manager seems to have the opposite effect on me, I'm more alert/awake and cannot sleep at all. However, I did notice the stress level readings on my smartwatch are a lot better an hour after taking a capsule. I'll rather use this supplement for stress management in the future. It also helps a lot clearing brain fog for better mental clarity.

Next up is the doc for bloodtests.

Guys I need some reviews for those that purchased oils from Cosmic Bazaar, how is the 1:12 sativa for insomnia? How is the CBD rich oil for stress/anxiety?

I am also strongly considering the Sceletium extract over the CBD rich oil for my Stress/Anxiety

Would appreciate feedback

Anyone tried Peptides for better sleep ?

Probably need to try for yourself. CBD/ THC products don't do a thing for me... actually makes it worse.

Sceletium, L-theanine are both decent.

My biggest issue with over the counter sleep aids, especially melatonin and antihistamines such as promethazine; they don't help me get to sleep, I wake up multiple times, and then can't get back to sleep. By the time the sun comes up, I can barely function without copious amounts of coffee, so I prefer not to take them. Benzodiazepines do work well for me without making me feel groggy, but they require a script, so when I do get them, I try and make them last as long as possible. Benzos should only really be used as a last line option though, as they can be extremely addictive and potentially cause even more issues if you take them daily, so I take them infrequently and only at times when I really need to take them, maybe 2-3 times a month at most.

Just replying to this post I made in Aug 2025; I was prescribed Ritalin in January by a psychiatrist for adult ADHD, since taking it, my sleep has improved significantly. Best bloody sleep I've had in years! No more benzos or copious amounts of coffee during the day. It took about two weeks to figure out my dosage and get back into a routine, but as soon as it wears off, all I want to do is get in bed and sleep. I take a half dose (5mg) just before I eat supper around 7pm, eat supper, do some mundane tasks like washing up or folding and packing away laundry, drink a beer or a glass of wine while doing that, turn off all lights, set tv brightness to 0, put on a boring DIY or engineering/nature doccy, smoke a small bong of OG kush, and then I'm usually out by 12am. Get up once or twice to pee at night, then fall asleep again within 15 minutes. Up at 6-7am to start working and a bit of exercise in between. Rinse & repeat.

This post probably isn't applicable to most people (unless you have ADHD), but it's my 2c of my journey to get better sleep. ✌️

LoL so all you need is a polydrug combo before bed and then its no problem sleeping.

Yes, unfortunately for some of us. Especially when all other options have been exhausted, the positives outweigh the negatives. I've had insomnia since I was born (had colic), and just never grew out of it...
