Getting fibre in a small complex

Hi,

I live in a complex with 11 (roundabout) other units.
I'm trying to get fibre in a house situated in this complex. Is there anyone that's done this or knows what to do? Vumatel figured we're fibre-ready, so they went ahead and mailed us our router already, but then they just flatly told us that they don't have permission to do this operation because we are in a complex. What steps do I need to take to get me to the point where they can install the fibre into our house?

* As far as I know, there is no fibre availability inside the complex yet; however, I figured out there is a node really close to one of the borders of the complex.
* I'm unsure whether the other tenants would like fibre, and seeing as they all have Internet connections at the moment I'm pretty sure it's not a priority for them.
* Our landlady is really nice and save from harnessing large costs for the complex, she is willing to give her authorization and consent to this.
* It's really quite urgent, so if there's a way to skip a dozen of forum meetings with the Body Corporate, that'd be great.

Any help or tips would aid along in the process, thank you very much.

You have to speak to the body corporate and then invite vumatel to do a project plan for this. but all communication had to go through your body corporate.

As for urgancy dont count on it. could be lucky but my complex took about 3 months from engagement to them starting work which took 2 - 3 weeks to complete.

And if your body corporate is a bunch of old people, don't bother.

The body corporate need to liaise with Vumatel
*** There will be no cost to the complex.
They (or their contractors) install inside the complex for free.***
once all that is done each individual units need to sign up if they want to and then they each pay the installation cost of R1725 (unless the ISP they use offers to cover this on contract probably.)

Odd that Vumatel didn't approach your complex when there were doing installations pre go live. - my previous complex they contacted us and my current one as well.

Yip, the BC need to give the go ahead. I ran with the project for the BC for my block.
You can probably run the project yourself, but you will need the BC to be on-board and aware of the proposal and all work required etc.
