Getting Gunnar's, Yes or No?

Thanks to everyone for their input, congrats again to OGroteKoning & kilobits, lucky buggers:D, I'm also on the pc for work around 12 hours a day at times, sometimes 7 days a week and I needed something a little extra to help with the dry eyes feeling and pounding headaches from computer monitors.

@Hemps, Simplicity Online has the range in stock

@kilobits yes those clear ones are the Crystalline (which i referred to as the Crystal-Z) range, and come in different frames too, your review broke down everything the way I wanted, very clear, and you also stuck to the actual frame comfort which is a plus, Thx again.

They seem to be targeted more at designers (I suppose more static imagery on the screen) than hardcore gaming, which fit my life a bit better. The Amber/Yellow tint seem to be the range for the hardcore guys, if anyone wants to read more you can visit their website, www.gunnars.com or simplicity online and get a far more detailed Spec. The Sheadog's it is! Thx
You shouldn't have headaches or dry eyes feeling, I am on the PC from when I wake up till when I sleep almost everyday and dont get either. I am usually researching so I do a lot of reading when not at work on Thursdays.

You either doing something wrong or need to go to the optometrist cause headaches and dry eyes are bad.

Do you take breaks every 30 mins or hour to rest the eyes?

From the reviews I have seen on Gunnars, they seem to work BUT frames seem very flimsy?

The frames are quite flimsy. It does make them very light though so you can wear them for a long time. The thinness of the frames make that you can wear headphones without discomfort.

Meh I have a pair of gunnar ppk's and I actually don't like them... In the few months I've had them I have used them a total of twice

Oh I rarely do rest sadly, seen doc today and I'll be sorted.

I've had a pair for about 3 or 4 years now (bought directly from their website) and I've never had issues with the frame or lenses. Good quality and sturdy :)

I think the build quality issue is all relative. Remember the majority of Gunnars go for under R800 locally, there is no chance they will match up to the build quality of decent brand name frames. All of my frames over the last few years have been over R3500 a pop not including lenses, tint etc.

When comparing the Gunnars to these obviously they'll feel a bit cheaper than Oakleys, Ray-Bans, D&Gs etc, but it's because they are.

Not a problem at all as long as you look after them.

Mind the bump.

Can I actually wear the Gunnars with the yellow tint outside and see pretty normal or would it be uncomfortable?

I'm thinking of getting a pair soon.
