It is normal for a shop to send the phone into Vodacare to be checked out before a new phone is issued. It is to be sure that the phone is not damaged by the user in any way. I have done loads of OBF's since I have been in the business and think I can count the number of declined ones on one hand. I know it is a bit of a inconvenience...but you get people out there that will take a chance who dropped their brand spanking new phone in the pool, hand it in at the shop as a OBF and when we open it up and water spills out throw up their hands and go "what you mean? it came out of the box like that...now gimme a new one!" :p

@ OP...I hope you get your new RAZR soonest. Lucky fish you. ;)

LOL, relax dude, I did not know he wasn't close to Vodaworld. I thought he went back to swap it out, bus as he explained he did not feel like a drive I was cool with it :)

Just thought they where gonna take it as a repair job instead of swapping it out.

Nope....as long as a phone is brought back within 7 days with till slip and original box and contents we will send in as OBF...as long as there is a real fault with it. And no....the fact that the colour of the phone dont match your curtains dont count . hehehe

No...the store should have given you a till slip....regardless of whether you had to pay in or not. Vodacare wants to see the proof of purchase from the till to see that the 7 day OBF return criteria is met. Not sure if they will accept the signed contract.

Thing is I didn't get any till slip from them, I am based at one of their corporate clients and they have a service center based at our Head Office, so not sure if that has anything to do with it...

They checked it in and gave me a OBF slip... Not sure what will happen now. :(

Good news - seems they are swapping it out for me. Was told to come pick it up tomorrow... :)

I just placed a order for a Demo Unit from our warehouse! Only ONE available! I just hope I get it and that it is in OK condition. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Dunno. Just checked on the system and our SOP guys have not processed yet...and it is not definate I am going to get it. If a little ******* got his order in before me then I loose out cause there was only one demo unit available. I will track him/her down and leave them minus a god damn kidney though!
