Geyser timer solution for solar

How’s your warm water tank experiment?
Switched it off as the geyser controller is doing fine.

With thermometer I can see if it helps. Will turn it back on as a test for the remaining month or so I am here.

4kw is generally advisable for 200l geysers, 3kw is a happy medium and will drop it down by almost an hour to warm up the water.
Remember with 2kw you're essentially asking a kettle to heat 200l of water. Not sure who advised you to use 2kw with such a big geyser. 21k will get you a 3.4kw heatpump that will draw 900w and have the water done in about 2 and half hours.
It’s the length of the element.
100l come with 2kW
150l come with 3 kW
200l come with 4 kW

4 kW won’t fit in 150l.

I posted a 3.6kW for R14knyesterday from ac direct.

Indeed. Those tube things are useless. Replace with 4 pv panels and controller.
Well there is another way, lots of copper pipes in a coil, light a fire in the middle of the coil and pipe that into the geyser :-P. It would be more effecting. The tubes could work if you have quite a few of them and lots of sun.

How much are the copper pipes?

They aren't that expensive, you need them to be relatively small to allow the water to warm quickly. 5m is roughly 400 bucks, the problem is coiling that.
