I heard it’s easier to coil them if they full with water and sealed on the ends, then they don’t kink. They aren't that expensive, you need them to be relatively small to allow the water to warm quickly. 5m is roughly 400 bucks, the problem is coiling that.
$$$Or equivalent
Never thought of that, would partially make sense as well.I heard it’s easier to coil them if they full with water and sealed on the ends, then they don’t kink.
Then use Eskom, can't get savings for everything on solar unless you're willing to $$ or to sacrifice
water doesn’t compress.Never thought of that, would partially make sense as well.
The savings come from not using tube panels and go pv. School fees. Then use Eskom, can't get savings for everything on solar unless you're willing to $$ or to sacrifice

the angle the sun is hitting the panels and the temp of the water to heat is the issueWhy is it not heating then?
what the inverter size?I have been told that and the reason I should stick with the 2kW
Prob 5kW.what the inverter size?
either invest in 8kw+ and more panels or heat pumpProb 5kW.
Seeing money is an issue, I would keep it as is and add a victron mppt and as many panels that can fit in the little north facing roof space.either invest in 8kw+ and more panels or heat pump
Doesnt look like it. I did buy mine for 890 or so but they were 340 watts. Is this a scam?

Yeah,

lol if money is no issue so much more can be doneSeeing money is an issue, I would keep it as is and add a victron mppt and as many panels that can fit in the little north facing roof space.
I would rather put that money towards mppt controller to charge battery.Yeah,
There is also this. The options are there. Thi is what I have. They say its for a 150 litre geyser but with me being able to hit 70 by mid day with the wrong size element (I should use a 3kW to extract 30% of so more heating) it will definitely work on the 200 litre without issues. The hardware needed for the Charge controller and this is identical. Just when you do heat your geyse your panels are idling and doing nothing.

I said money is an issue. 1 x mppt and 2 or 3 panels is cheaper than replacing 5kW with 8kW.lol if money is no issue so much more can be done![]()
