Does anyone know when this will be sold. I see here that it goes on sale today, but haven't seen anything on the Cell C web site.
 
So do any shops have stock of this? The Cell C outlet at Northgate said that this was only a contract offering. When I told then to look at the website they conceded that it was also prepaid but they needed to get sim cards and had no idea when this might happen...

you should be able to get it at any Cell C store did they tell when they will be getting stock.

So I went to Cell C in Durban, dressed in my jeans and casual t-shirt with a youthful spring in my step, hoping to purchase me one of them giga specials - queried this deal with the guy behind the counter, sadly he unconvincingly glared at me like I was

I phoned Cell-C Canal Walk looking for a Giga 200 SIM. The told me they were ordered this morning and will have stock on Saturday or Monday.

Why didn't Cell-C make sure the stores had stock today? :confused:

They should at least have had stock tomorrow seeing as this promotion launches from the 9th. Also phoned three more stores and got the same no stock but we ordered story.

I just tried my luck by phoning them today seeing they are advertising this promotion on their site already.

Hi Bas,

No. I did ask, the answer they gave was "We have no way to answer that".
 
Had the same problem. The rep I dealt with couldn't believe it when I told him that the promotion had been announced a week before already - apparently they had only learned about it the day before the launch. He phoned one of the regional offices about the Giga200 not showing on the system and they didn't even know what he was talking about.

Very poor on Cell C's part. How can you announce a promotion publicly without informing your sales staff - the people who are supposed to sell it to the public - well in advance? Shouldn't they be the first to know? Worst of all, how can your shops have no stock of a new promotion on launch day?

Hi Bas, it was North Cape Mall Kimberley. The store knew about the promotion, but didn't have any stock and couldn't find the Giga200 on the system. The rep phoned Bloemfontein regional, who apparently gave him a blank stare over the phone, and then proceeded to phone Gauteng and Cape Town regional offices because he didn't know how they were supposed to sell the deal as it wasn't on their system.

To the rep's credit, he really went out of his way to try and help me, but with no stock and the deal not even showing on their systems there was not much they could do. Embarrassing for everyone involved.
 
Just tried calling Cell C Clearwater Mall. Also told me that it is only a contract option. When I asked them about the prepaid offering, they hadn't heard of it and had no stock. Asked them if they knew when stock would arrive, they had no idea and told me I should rather phone head office. :confused:
 
WTF CELL C????

I have phoned the Alberton branch and The Glen "Flagship" branch and they did not even know of the specials, so after explianing it to them they like "OOOOOOOOOOOO that one sorry we only have small stock of the giga200" i dont want the giga 200, i want the giga20! Why did you not stock your stores??? And especially your "Flagship" store at the glen??????
 
and now i cant contact any of the branches as if they have all simultaneously switched off their phones? Apparently because the giga20 is on contract it can be done on the system, WHY DONT THESE CELL C PLACES KNOW THIS????????????
