Gmail tasks - sync with mail client

I'm using thunderbird as a mail client.
Which has its shortcomings.
Anybody know how to sync tasks / todo from tb to gmail...
or any other mail client for that matter?
 
We are using Funambol Sync client, but not sure if it will work with Gmail.

It syncs contacts, calendars, to do lists and notes.

i think plaxo also offers a similar service to funambol.
i've got mail & calendar working on desktop and mobile.
i just don't feel like paying for a third party service just to sync todo's.
 
I would have paid for Funambol, cos sync between our CMS and Outlook is critical for our company....but fortunately it is free. :)
 
I am not sure if there is a pay for tool for gmail but we use Google Apps and Google Apps Sync Tool and it works the charm!
 
rtm may be the best bet.
tb support looks a bit shady tho.
oh well. it's not critical i guess.
it would be nice to be able to live in the cloud and change clouds if i wanted.

EDIT:
google apps sync / gmail sync doesn't put todo's and notes into the cloud unfortunately.
i want something that works with the google calendar tasks but which i can manage from a desktop mail client.
so that i'm away from my pc, i can view my todo's from another device.
