Go Protea's Go No1 is ours!!!

Yeah, I've never been much of aSmith fan (or Harris, for that matter), But I think he has been winning hearts and minds this tour. (And Harris).

Back to our chances in the third test: We didn't just beat the Aussies in the first two Tests - we beat them when they were in winning positions. In the second test we had to scramble to avoid the follow-on before Duminy/Harris then Duminy/Steyn saved our arses.

Fighting-back, and winning when your opponent has the upper hand, is the kind of thing that the Aussies have always done to us.

The roles have reversed. The Australians have a battered team, their batsmen aren't firing, their bowlers for tomorrow have 20 tests between them.

Anyway, that's my 2c. Back to trolling Aussie news sites. :D

I think Smith has improved immensely. I think the stint with Shane Warne at the royals has helped him a lot.

Yeah, that's true.

How much do you think Ponting enjoys fielding with that enormous Shane Warne looking over his shoulder from the sightscreen behind the batsman? :D

Well the aussies have a very weak looking attack, looking though, those 2 new okes could destroy us, as someone mentioned hayden is due a massive massive innings and i prey it does not come in this test match.

Morkel missed what should have been an easy run out - took far too long to release the ball. Then, next ball, the Aussies run 4 after he forgot to get up after diving for the ball. I don't understand why Smith has him in-field - he should be on the boundary IMO...

Hayden off the mark - haven't heard an Aussie crowd cheer like that since Darryl Hair last umpired...

Missed that - what was the gist of it? Switched back over and we'd snatched 2 wickets - Ponting golden duck - awesome!!

Well after Morkel got Ponting knicked behind, he celebrated without appealing. Bowden had a word with Morkel about that, and Greig said he's had enough of Bowden always involving himself where there's no need to. Then the next over he took another shot at him.

Really need to take Harris off. They're just picking him off with ease and I don't understand why he was put on so soon. Pity about the Kallis drop catch...

I think Kallis should bowl now. Johnson is using the pace of Ntini/Steyn/Morkel very well. I reckon with Kallis bowling 110 - 120s he will get bogged down quickly, and likely make a mistake.

And why did Steyn not bowl first up???

Kallis has been bowling a lot quicker than that lately but he's been putting it on the right spot consistently and troubled the Aussie batsmen a fair amount lately. I second the Kallis option.

And why did Steyn not bowl first up???

Haven't a clue. My first thought was that he is nursing a niggly injured, but then I remembered that for some or other reason, they seem to start off with Ntini whenever he's in the team, which I find absurd. He is no longer our strike bowler, and what perplexes me is that they use Ntini with the new ball - the one bowler who cannot move the ball in the air. I've never understood bowling Ntini first up.

Ah, now Harris nearly gets sent for 6 from Johnson. Really need to get him off now...:(

Seems Smith logged on to mybb and read the advice - Kallis back into the attack...
