I'm doing the math and perhaps I'm doing it wrong but for R64 pm more I could go from:
a doAdvanced (2Mbps) "capped" bundle : R395 pm (excl. telephone line rental of R148.37) to the
do Uncapped 2Mbps for R459 pm (also excl. telephone line rental).
I don't want to get into the debate about the "soft-cap" on the uncapped accounts but for me, just R64 more and I would go from a 10GB account (+ soft-cap for another 20GB), to only getting soft-capped much later (prob between 50 - 100GB). That still seems ok to me...yes?

If you look at it that way then yes it makes sense to switch. You will be able to download about ten times as much before hitting the soft cap. Also, if you are only going to download in the region of around 100Gb a month I doubt whether you will ever be soft-capped.

Not to sure how Telkom applies the soft cap, at this stage it seems like 100Gb on a 1Mb and 200Gb on a 2Mb line.

New from the Telkom Tit Racker

"Thank you for logging onto the Telkom Internet Usage Tracker Tool. You are on an Uncapped product and therefore usage tracking is not applicable to you."

No one knows the cap limit with Telkom, or even if it resets at month end
