Golf V GTi drivers

As the Opel and Toyota drivers say, "GTi's are just so common."
So sure there are many GTi Drivers on this forum :)
Say hello here....

Stock? Modded? Loving your ride? Lets talk

A toyota driver calling a GTI common LOL!

The chips these days are almost undetectable.. so no chance of the Dealer finding out.. unless they scrutinize the car..

Have to agree with you about the clutch and the engine...does add strain to it...if you plan to keep your car for a long time... its not worth chipping it..

All chips will be picked up... send your car for a service and its pushing out 30% more power Im sure the guy will pick it up.

Use the Revo plugin, stick it in you 12v socket when you need it, take it out when you dont.

Personally think the R32 is a bit overpriced..
Put a R5000 chip on a GTi and the GTi will eat the R32...

Add a similar chip to the R32 - and then?

Its no point comparing a modded car to a stock car.

But, at altitude (jozi) i reckon a stock GTI is fair game for a stock R32.

Brand New Stock R32 - R350,900.00
Brand New GTi with Chip - R259,600.00 + R5000.00 = R264 600.00

So was just comparing the price value of the cars
and thats why concluded that the R32 is overpriced.....:)

JK8, do u have a revo Plugin? where did u get it from?
Whats the power gains like?

Nope I dont but ive seen people with it, theres alot of gains 147kw to 200Kw with the chip alone.

Strange that, thought the chip alone took the car to 169Kw those people you have seen must have a big chip hey ;)

Yup.. i also heard of gains between 165Kw to 175Kw
200 Kw is a bit much

a pinch of bs?... please going from what 132kw to 200kw with a chip... thats like getting a dumper truck of bs....

sorry my mistake... 147kw to 200kw from a chip....

still don't believe it, thats nearly a 33% rise in power.

But what about torque?

An increase in KW's doesn't mean anything if it's not accompanied by a healthy increase in torque to go with it. Otherwise it's going to take you hours to reach that peak performance...

Shame looks like I have to explain...

ECU Tuning is an authorized distributor of the REVO Technik / REVO chip performance software. REVO's amazing new technology can squeeze an extra 30 to 70 HP out of your stock VW or Audi 1.8T engine, without even adding or changing anything to the car. REVO's tuning software is uploaded via the car's diagnostic port, wich means it is totally invisible and safe to install and use. The program can then be further customized to the driver's needs with one of the SPS devices available.

Ok now how to calculate HP to Kw...

Power (kW) = Power (HP) x 0.7457. Power

Therefore 70HP x 0.7457 = 52.199 kw

147kw + 52.199kw = 199.199
We all know that all cars are different, even standard cars can push more than what they are said to.

We conclude 147kw Gti + Revo chip can get you to 200kw;)

You're making silly assumptions

They say nothing of the 2.0T FSI engine. I'm a big fan of REVO software, but even I think that 200kW+ isn't very achievable without changing the turbo itself.

Lol I know atleast 3 people with Mk5s getting those results.

If you want to compare the 1.8T to the 2.0T we all know the FSI injection system has been VW/Audi success story of late.

I still dont see how you cannot believe it... and you call yourself a fan:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The results speak for themselves... scurry over to VWclubforum you will see real readings...
