Golf V GTi drivers

Now here is something thats been bugging me for a while.... what are the two lil red lines on the speedo @ 30 & 50KM? Cant be shift points... ?anyone know... (NOW I WONT SLEEP TONIGHT AGAIN - damn lil redlines) hehe

the lines for the best revs to shift from 1 to 2, and from 2 to 3, minimum petrol usage,

On the St forum i know of some guys that want's to sell some good modded st's for under R200k and they either have a proper chip/ performance exhaust / both + induction, close to 200KW's ATW.

The book values probably 100K:D

Thats one of the main reasons i bought the "Gotta Turbo Inside" :) . Excellent resale value coupled with the fact that its an awesome car.

My 2006 1.6 Si value = R119,305.00

They're values might be bad, but atleast we don't have to deal with VW dealerships.

Had the car in yesterday and one thing went wrong after the other so yes, tend to agree. Call at 1:30pm for car: 'will get a driver'. Hear nothing. Call at 3pm. Speak to driver and explain where. Stand outside for 45 mins in freezing cold. No-one arrives. Call again. Send 2nd driver. Finally get my car. While applying the updates to head unit via ECU, it crashed and head unit useless. Have to get it in again next week for a working one. Dealers don't have 'reset' codes to fix any crashes of this sort - issue of trust was explained to me and VW's paranoia over code releases due to potentially easier ECU mods. All good hey.

BTW, had to add: I reckon the ST is a fantastic car and will reserve any judgement that is negative until I've discovered anything of the sort. Hope others will do the same... sure, resale might not be exactly the same, but it's not a case of therefore being worth anyone's scorn or superiority of a GTI over it... it's a little detail in the grand scheme of things, and we bought our cars to have fun with 'em, so if you get your thrills out of an ST (and how can you not) then that's a win.

I don't own either of the 2 cars, but have driven a bit in an St. Could not yet find an Gti/Golf MKV standing @ local dealership to drive a bit, but we do have a polo tdi and know about VW dealerships and they're very helpfull nature.

If you also take itno consideration the history of the 2 company's especially in SA.
VW and it's Gti's have a long and very consistent history here, but the Focus St is really ford first good performance car of the new era.

As the Saying goes practice makes perfect.

Saw Catch the other day, why no Tasbeeh in your car?
