Golf V GTi drivers

I wasnt saying that cars dont break... What i'm saying is that all cars have known issues(common issues that everyone knows might occur in a certain model), but the list for this car seems longer than i'm used to. :o

Sorry bud, my bad. I get what you saying now.
I dont think its such a long list though. ;)

Also, ive noticed that it shifts really quickly when driving slow. For instance, before i reach 80km/h, i'm already in 6th gear which means if i need more power, i really need to press, is that normal?

:(

I had the same issue with the 6 high low speed.... did the software and problem was solved. (otherwise always drive sport - hehehe)My dsg was also quick when driving slow, but when there was torque on the box it seemed to cut the power... i had them reset my DSG and it was fine. But the car does seem to have AI and learns ur ways... but since software it is much better.

Yeah mine also seems to cut power aswell. Its kind of annoying. So I'm assuming that by "software" u mean software other than stock software? Unfortunately my finances dont allow me to chip my car so will a reset of software by VW sort the problem out?

Yeah chipped/aftermarket.. ie REVO, GIAC, Upsolute, FRC etc .
Well it wont hurt to try... plus it wont cost anything. I reckon it will solve the problem. Where you based? The guys in here all have good contacts at the VW branches, im sure one of them can refer a name for when u take the car in. Get them to check the DV as well and ask them to reset the DSG.

Thanks man! i'll give that a shot. I'm in dbn, i've booked my car in at Baron's on Monday...anyone know anyone there that i can speak to?

i have had "encounters" with two S2000's on separate occasions. Both times i was ahead from 1st all the way to 4th.I Kept pulling away. At the end of fourth i was probably about 4 car lengths ahead :D. The S2000 is a whole different machine at the coast though.

Never raced them at the coast, but they useless up here....
I raced a Seat 177kw this weekend... Got whipped!!!!!:o

i think S2000's are overated... now the SEAT is another animal.. would love to have a go against the Cupra. Took on a new TT (1.8t), so cute.... lol was really expecting more, the older one was stronger I think.

Yup.. the new TT is overated when it comes to performance. The car Looks sweet though :)

So here is my predicament... I wanna install CAI and a DP but cant find someone who supplies and fits these things that ALSO has card facilities for fleet cards... Anyone got a contact?
