It has been chipped. Took it to Upsolute, but must say I have nothing but hassles since, so looking for alternatives. RS Tuning perhaps....Any recommendations on software? Otherwise its pretty stock, except the filter and chip. Next is the DV and im looking into cool air induction as I saw today how badly the GTI's suffer from the heat. Any other tips?

Well initially the DSG box was the issue, everytime i drilled it and it changed gears it would cut out for a moment ( like milliseconds) so there goes the adv of having DSG, then today as I was driving to work all of a sudden it went into limp mode... no boost, nothing!! I had to pull over, switch off the car and switch it back on, then it seemed fine. I took it back to upsolute and the guys were helpful but found no fault , they ran some diagnostics and changed some values but now the car feels stock, so i dunno......... i took it to a dyno run before and after the chip.. slight difference and these values are on the wheels( this was before today)

heard about that cut off problem before.. think its quite common..
the limp mode thing though... that sounds much more serious...
could it be your turbo maybe?

initially we thought it was the DV that failed. But it is fine now. I took it back and since then havent had any hassles, drives like normal - But thats the problem NORMAL ... feels so stock now. I got GIAC who promised to come see me and tell me if my car has been factory defaulted. I will be so pissed if it has.... But def keen on GIAC
Those gains arent that great, 9kw on the wheels and 28NM.... If you look at what you meant to get from the site (177KW Engine, 350NM) its a let down... But till I know for sure... I will not kick up a fuss (watch this space hehe)
Any running K&N Typhoon or MCM CAI?

I met up with GIAC (Dynamic Autosport) today, what service! Thanks Mark...Gave me a full diagnostic on my car and explained to me in earth language what was happening (Told me that the software was up and running - pretty decent figures) and told me what I need to do to resolve my issues and tweak it(So wasnt Upsolute software fault) but nevertheless as soon as I have some cash im def upgrading to GIAC. Looks like Im in need of a mod DV, also done through GIAC (Dynamic Autosport) who will also help with my CAI. Finally someone who can help me!! I havent tried the software, but from what I can tell from all the forums overseas, these guys are the choice. Will keep you updated, but if you guys are looking for remapping, give them a shout.
I've heard good things about Mark so you probably won't regret going the GIAC way. FRC are just as good when it comes to service and their product delivers.
I also (like most GTi drivers) had to replace my DV after the remap

Hey guys, quick question... I am looking at buying a CAI from EBay in the states, I got the price but need to know if any of u have done this before? I need to know If there is going to be additional import tax? Any help?? please....
