You can actually do it yourself,it very simple, but if you find it difficult or dont have the time, any tuner will do it for you. If you dont come right, i will ask a friend from CT to refer you. let me know.

I'd prefer someone else to do it, and pay them... the only car I'll work on is my Hilux...cause I cant stuff it up

Just have to decide on a colour to go with the car, Red, Black or Silver... I also want to order a decal that sticks on to the capiler after painting.

That,as far as i know, cannot be done. That decal will melt when the caliper gets hot.

Leaning towards red too...the cars at the panel beater to replace the bumper, maybe I should ask them if they can do it...

Check at the bottom of this page how they apply them, wonder how they make it heat resistant... On one of my older cars, might have been the Golf 4... I could have sworn I'd seen the disks glowing, actually, I think it was the Jetta.

My finance finally got approved!! but they don't have stock of the car with the specs i want so they have to order it. Will probably take around 2 weeks for derirery

I have one question: I've heard that '08 GTI's that have the Ipod prep do not have the auxillary port in the glove box. Can anyone confirm this??

Try carfind.co.za . When i wanted to buy a GTi, the dealers also told me they cant find the GTi with my requirements, so i tried carfind, and the next day i was driving my GTi

Thanks for that site Catch. I've tried it but it seems that their price is much higher than what i'm getting mine for. Luckily the dealer called me up just now and told me that there is one available with my specs in the country but their might be someone else who's making a deal on it. She will confirm with me tomorrow

ya well thats what i thought. Apparently thats not the case. God i hate this waiting! Do you also have a gti? if so then what model and do u have the Aux input in the glove box?

Nah... Honda S2000, so no clue, had a Golf 4 till 2004, replaced it with a Hilux Double Cab...

Trying to get someone who will ship the decals to SA, apparently its not going to be easy. I saw the new BMW 1 cabrio has BMW on the calipers

Holding JK8 responsible... he chose the colour... Asked the panel beater to do it, they have the car atm... just went over there and chose the 'shade' of red, they all looked the same to me. Anyways, it was only R28.8 (cost) for a can, it'll be interesting to see what they charge me for the paint.

To my (in-depth) knowledge, all '07+ GTi's with BWA engines were fitted with the K04 turbo. Yours is '06 so you will have the K03 turbo, but let them do the the ECU upgrade once more and you should push your power around +/-165kw (+/- 222.75HP ).

catch, that's wot i thought until i started surfing the vwclub forums. 1 guy has a june '06 gti with a bwa engine, checked my engine no. & it's starts with bwa but like viper25 said maybe it is a bwa engine with a k03 turbo. am tempted to get it dyno'd to confirm but i'd rather wait for the 2nd service to be done only +-2000kms to go b4 the service. i'm also looking for 19" rims for about R15,000 including tyres, any ideas?

If you looking for wheels, well, what style do you like ? IMO Audi,Merc OEM wheels are the hottest together with some BBS wheels, but they are $$$.
