Good Golf Courses In Gauteng

Will be in Centurion for a week in October. Looking for suggestions on which courses are worth paying more for and which are not. Also which courses are in good condition considering it's still a bit dry?

I've played Copperleaf & Serengeti before & wondering what's their current condition? Then considering some of:

Steyn City
Blair Atholl
Pecanwood
Ebotse
Pretoria CC
Royal Joburg
Glendower
Bryanston
Houghton
Maybe even Sun City if it's worth the drive

Thoughts?

Glendower is a great course to play, also Modderfontein is good.
 
I've played some of those, some a long time ago though, Royal Joburg is great and Glendower is one of the lesser known gems, add CCJ to your list as well. I haven't played Wanderers in a long time but used to enjoy it, Killarney and Parkview are interesting to play as well. I'll be at Pecanwood from tomorrow for a few days so will see how the course is but it is generally good as they use borehole and dam water for irrigation.
 
Zwarkopps is another option in Centurion.

Looking for nice courses though which don't have to be in Centurion specifically. I've played there a few times before and it was cheap, in bad condition and with the stinky dirty Hennops flowing through it.

Should be more than enough for a weeks worth of golf.

Oh, I haven't been there in years. It used to be pretty good before all the houses were built and it was kept in good condition during the winter months.

Yeah seems whenever that river floods then it’s back to square one again with major course damage.

Thanks. I've played there a few times before. Looking for courses which are maybe just a notch above that level and will be green by middle October (if that's possible?).

I always take advantage of LastMinuteGolf deals for Copperleaf & Serengeti. I see even Steyn City is on there now, although still 1600 bucks.
