Hi there

So I'm posting again but yeah can someone recommend me isp that accept 200GB per month and don't shape like mad and reliable. I'm looking at 4mb uncapped or capped depends of price.

I want to move away from mweb premium as it's been a week+ without me able to play some online games and torrents going very slow even over weekend.

I'm happy with Telkom Internet, average around 150-250 GB per month on 4Mb uncapped.

Obviously as little as possible. but realistically not overspend. most of my time i play online gaming at nigh. I play games like bf4, COD:AW. I do a little bit of downloads but I can maybe cut down on that a bit. i do 200 - 30GB per month in bandwidth here. We have other people on the line as well. My actual reason for leaving MWEB is that p2p download is going painfully slow and that some games I can't connect and I did ask them what is going on they tell me it's Telkom and Telkom then blames MWEB. i'm trying to play COD:AW but can't connect and youtube streaming is a bit slow aswell. I called MWEB to ask waht is going on.

Why are there no other posts about the problem? Strange for a popular game. Unless it's only you or a handful?

If you can schedule about 120GBs of that for midnight, You should be able to save some cash and use the 10Meg Home account on your 4Meg line:

If you can only schedule like 60GBs for midnight, then rather get the business 4Meg.

Oh and the above is only so you don't get shaped.

Telkom is no good for games or torrents and is heavily shaped until after midnight. Closer to full speed only after 1am.

What do you suggest i do then? Why when use another isp 1gb account it works and with mweb it doesn't. I can connect to the game but it's a very rare. Sometimes it does but most times i can't connect to online services. When It's not connecting then I do speedtest and try even Black ops 2 and all that works but not Call of duty: AW. Maybe a sign I shouldn't play that game

Are you sure that WA business is any good?

It's what I'm using now.

pros:

Unshaped if schedule some downloads for 00:00

cons:

Have thresholds to manage.

what's the threshold? i must say the mweb gamemaster actually came back to me so we might be able to solve my issues once and for all. but still would like to have other options.

Well these accounts work on how much day time downloading you do. On the Plus side though it's quite easy to never be shaped at all.

so if I do night time download for the full month but nothing during the day I won't get throttled?

Throttled for too much data. Shaping for use during busy periods is more likely on all normal uncapped accounts.

Um I'm not sure you understand how it works.

If you only download at midnight you won't be shaped during the day at all regardless of what you do.

but if I download from 00:00 - 05:00 in the morning every single day of the month will i get throttled or not?
