Goodbye Google Instant Search

Google is dropping its Instant Search feature which was launched in 2010 to provide users with a quicker way to find what they are looking for.

Well atleast have something else ready before dropping this, it's so handy on desktop (and mobile devices if your browser is in desktop mode)

Reasoning is not convincing. A one of hatred features anyway.

The problem is what I search for is mostly NOT what the masses search for so the Google Instant feature just drives me mad anyway!
I prefer to structure my search properly, then trigger the search and get ONLY what I want.

Good riddance!

Instant search has it's place, I suppose. It does allow you to type, amend and delete the search words, and provide options without having to 'enter' it.

You're using it wrong. Instant search is very helpful if you don't know the exact spelling or you want to add additional info into a search term. Since the masses are searching for it they've already separated the wheat from the chaff.

The masses are idiots. They don't know how to Google.

Instant search is in the way.

No you read my reply wrong. I do not care a tinkers ass what the masses search for so I do not need them to be filtering anything for me and separated the wheat from the chaff. Nor do I need something telling me how to spell something.

Good riddance to a service I certainly never wanted nor found particularly useful.

I always found it very interesting to see what it comes up with ...

A lot of your own search history plays a role in what instant search suggests. Half the hate is towards yourself

Yeah because nobody else used it or found it useful.
