I have this new client with 15 desktop computers and they are interested in geeting all thier mail hosted onto google apps , the thing is usually thier staff numbers flactuate between 18 to 24 at any given time , thier concern is since they only have some users who come and leave randomly , would google apps allow them to use the same use licenaces for different email names .........

you just delete ppl as they leave and add new ones. it counts active members. that is the free one in any case.

Google apps update

Hello,

We recently announced upcoming changes to the maximum number of users for Google Apps. We want to let you know that, as a current customer, the changes will not affect you.

As of May 10, any organization that signs up for a new account will be required to use the paid Google Apps for Business product in order to create more than 10 users. We honor our commitment to all existing customers and will allow you to add more than 10 users to your account at no additional charge, based on the limit in place when you joined us.

Sincerely,

The Google Apps Team

Maybe look into Microsoft's upcoming Office 265 product? I don't think they have a free edition, but there is a plan that goes for something like $5 per user per month. Think it's called Plan 1.
