Google working on link previews in Chrome

Google plans to introduce a "Link Preview" feature that lets users view a small web page popup by hovering their cursor over a link in Chrome, Bleeping Computer reports.

The feature gives users a glance at the content on the web page, letting them decide whether to continue browsing or open the link.

Sounds much like Mini Arc in Arc Browser

I'm not a programmer of any kind but this sounds like an exploit.

Didn't we have this 10+ years ago in some browser somewhere?

EDIT: maybe I'm thinking of mobile browsers where you can long press a link and the page opens up in a preview type pop-up. Works great until that page has a "please accept our delicious cookie" pop-up and blocks the entire page.

Rather work on a "I don't give a **** about cookies" blocker/accepter that actually works.
