Google Chrome is starting to suck

Since I started this thread I've successfully moved over to using Safari as my primary browser.

I still keep Chrome open in the background but mainly only for WhatsApp and when I need to use a code inspector that doesn't suck.

It's nice not having my laptop hot to the touch all the time.

Good to hear. Safari is great, so much smoother and less resource/power hungry.
 
Firefox's address bar/history/past visited sites auto-complete is far superior to Chrome's.

True, but I'm stuck with Windows at work. I've tried a few others, only to find out they're all based on older versions of Firefox. Like Pale moon and Comodo Ice dragon. Not one seems to work great. What else is good on Windows? I see Safari isn't on Windows anymore.

EDIT: :cry: missing Netscape days now

Not sure if this has been mentioned, not going to go through x pages to check, but the NPAPI plugin will only be supported yet (in Chrome) for a limited time and at the moment you need to explicitly set it, Microsoft Silverlight is dependent on it so it is affected.
 
I like Chrome. Gave up on Firefox because it was too slow and prone to crashing and gave up on Opera because it's too ugly after the last update and because I'm tired of needing a separate mobile browser to access my bookmarks on my phone.

Chrome has been pretty good so far. There's a Foxish extension that didn't exist last I used Chrome that makes a huge difference. It gives live RSS folder functionality that Firefox has built in.
 
Installed K-Melleon, about an hour ago. I must say, I like. I even see in the Preferences, they have Netscape bookmarks. Wonder if it's built on Netscape?!?!

I use Side Tabs to make this work, although you can also use the snazzier Vertical Tabs to do effectively the same thing. Side Tabs has been acknowledged up by Mozilla's devs and they are currently toying with the idea of putting functionality like this into the nightly builds before rolling it out to the public later on.

Have you tried Tree Style Tabs?
 
Back to Chrome. They have sorted out a bunch of issues in the latest versions, my laptop no longer burns my hands when using Chrome.
