Cascaded/tiled tabs! That is SO handy, I know it's possible with any other browser by having two windows side by side but it isn't as efficient as having two tabs side by side. The bookmark bar on the left is also welcome to return, as is the built in mail client IF it has webmail integration (with Opera you could configure it that when you click on an email hyperlink it will open your webmail in a new tab and go straight to composing a message with the email address and optionally subject already filled in).
That being said, it looks like it will be a skinned Chrome so I don't know if we'll get tab thumbnails or tab peeking back

Jesus Christ! Chrome keeps filling up my 8GB ram for no good reasons. Now at 4.5gb.
May have all the features but being Chrome based it's still the same memory and process hog.

He's not worth the effort of explaining things.
Chrome has been getting better for me in the last few versions. I mainly use it just because of the Google sync (my phone, tablet/laptop and PC all have the exact same bookmarks), but the interface is also far easier to use, in my opinion, than other browsers: it's simple, and, though it lacks features, is intuitive.
The browser has been getting snappier as of late with the newest updates (I'm using Canary), but the biggest changes are on my phone. Even though it is a three to four year-old device (Samsung Galaxy Nexus), it is really snappy and I have been experiencing far less crashes.
EDIT: My main bugbear with Chrome is the excessive amount of processes it creates so that it remains "secure" from crashing all the tabs when one stops responding, but it hardly ever truly works, and just ends up restarting the browser anyway. The next biggest problem is the lack of smooth scrolling, though extensions do a good job at filling the gap.
