You do know every other phone manufacturer, hell any electronics manufacturer will do nothing about anything outside warranty, weather its 1 day or 2 weeks. They warranty exist as a fixed timeline, not an guideline.
The actual point I was trying to make was that a software upgrade broke my phone. Apple-suppllied software & Apple-supplied firmware but I end up with a non-working phone .. so much for Apple's much publicised walled garden approach and superiour whatever hey. It wasn't just me, google 'No Service' error to see how many people had/have the same problem. Further, Apple (Core?) couldn't even re-load the software once on my phone when I handed it in, while I was doing it a couple of times a week by that stage (the phone would say no-service, then go to the 'sync with itunes' screen and the only way to get it working again was to restore from backup).
To be completely fair to Apple I would boycott the schit out of any other company that I have a similar bad experience with, but that's when I realised I was dealing with a crap/hypocritical company and moved to Android. A decision I am completely happy with btw.
