They did mention that this will happen, given that they have canned Google Reader... I actually do like the planned overall integration that they seem to be pushing for with Google+.

I always thought the reason to can Google Reader was BS. Now I know they did it to push Google+.

The algorithms being used are rather impressive- none of the over or under-exposure, softening, saturation etc. that other programs often perform...

So to summarise: Google+ will amalgamate all the best features of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the now dead Reader into one system. I find that particularly impressive.
