Can you please do a favour for me? I also ordered that through eBay about 3 weeks ago but the tracking thing on DHL says that it's still in the depot. Could you just check your tracking number and see what it says? I'm getting a little suspicious. Maybe the tracking is just broken but I'm probably going to have to follow up...

I still have the screen cover things on that came with the phone. Can't let anything scratch my precious :D

As for the reception: Mine is fantastic. I have no issues with calls and the data rates are always good.
 
I must say, the data connection flies on the Nexus. I did a speed test the other night and got 13Mb down and 2Mb up on Vodacom. Eats data fast :erm:
 
After always suffering from quite a poor battery life, I decided to try to root my phone and use a custom kernel. So after tinkering with Franco's kernal a bit, I put my phone through some tests, and have just received this screen on time. This is mostly on wifi (obviously with the sim card in) with browsing and whatsapp mostly. This is about 2 hours more than I've ever gotten on a good day.

I'm using the conservative gouvenour and the best balance power mode on Franco's kernel. I haven't noticed that much (or even any) of a performance decrease. This is on the custom rom.
 
when u say reception issues are you talking about getting signal at all?
i think we talking about the quality of the calls with the n4, a lot of times people cant hear me i have to repeat myself.
in terms of how many bars signal. theres no issue with that on mtn. its just the quality thats not very good

Jeez I want this phone. They say if you want to buy something, wait 24 hours and if you still feel the same, then do it, its been 3 months now and I still want one. No matter how I rationalize it, that Note 2 is better and so on, the only thing currently preventing me from getting it, is the severe beating I am going to get from the missus if I get one

Urgh!!!

First drop yesterday, was sitting a table with the phone on my lap and then Mr Slidey decided to slide off. Landed on the bottom left corner (luckily not flat!) and then bounced onto the top left corned, so I now have 2 slight bumps (probably like 2mm in diameter)

Who needs a bumper!
 
Has anyone had any experience with heita 3G and more specifically heita 3g and any nexus device - what kind of speeds do you get and how did you manage to get them. i only get around 10kb/s download

I ordered the lg/nexus bumper on ebay, so waiting for that to be delivered, probably be here after I've dropped the phone for the 100th time

Got mine yesterday and all I can say is WOW. My biggest problem is telling which side is up and which side is down when I take it out of my pocket
