Google Nexus 5

sorry had not updated this thread but been busy with work.
loving my nexus 5, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask away
I had bought 2 nexus 5 [32gb] on the day it was released and coming from a galaxy nexus - I am loving it so far, very fast phone.
 
Urgh, I think I might order one but black or white?!?!

Quick Youtube check....black seems to be a winner

I went with the black one and love the soft touch back gives it some kind of grip which I don't think the white one does.

Phone is fast, but i am not totally impressed with the screen, black really renders poorly on the device.

The blacks could be better but I do prefer the colours more than than my gnex which sometimes seemed over saturated, but overall I am very happy with the phone.

Yep, Youtube comparisons said the same. The white is like a harder type of plastic and also has glossy black sides where as the black has soft touch back and sides.

Contacted my family member in Aus to what the prices will be to order there and then post here...

If the four device limit is still at play, I may consider ordering three more to sell... Will investigate this and let everyone know.
 
hi all..also looking to buy the Nexus 5..might be going to the states in December so will try and get my order to arrive while I'm there..@Maverick Jester just out of curiosity, was the card u used a Visa or Mastercard?

Another thing - are we able to see the devices on the play store? I had thought not, but when I go to the play store on my iPad and my work laptop,the pages seem to work and I'm not using a VPN. Does this mean that Google has opened up the play store to everyone to browse or am I somehow connecting to a VPN without knowing (my iPad has a Telkom Mobile SIM in case that helps)?
 
Mine have arrived and are waiting at home. Should have a spare 32gig white if all goes to plan.

I think the true test is to search for the Nexus devices through the play store, I'd be surprised if you could do that.

Have you bought a device from the play store in the past?
If you have it opens up the US playstore for you once you log in, this is what happened to me...there was a thread on it sometime ago.
