This device is so good, I really don't see myself getting the next model. The 4 had a few shortcomings, but this one has really nailed it across the board.

Once Google iron out all the kinks in KK, and push some more updates on the lower end API functionality (specifically the work that they are doing on the camera API), I would be hard-pressed to even need an upgrade. Unless Android finally goes 64bit within the next year, of course ;)

Lol. Yeah, I'm loving everything about this phone in a big way. Can't see me changing for anything other than possibly the next iteration.
 
So... I like using MissedIt and I also like the notification led, but I couldn't get Light Manager to play nicely. Either MI or LM worked well, but it would seem that you can't have both. What do you guys use?
 
I use Light Flow to light the LED different colors for different notifications. Works well but I have no idea whether it would work with Missed it.

Hmmm, that explains a lot (why my LM constantly gets stuck even when I have opened the relevant notification). Guess MI is out for now, I am preferring my notification LED.

Light Flow works now? I actually moved to LM because Light Flow refused to work on 4.4.2.

It works for everything I've set it up. I only have the free version though - so I only have notifications for:
- Gmail (main inbox, updates inbox)
- Google Apps mail
- Hangouts and SMSes
- missed calls
- no signal
- low battery
- calendar reminders

The one I do miss is notifications for WhatsApp and unfortunately WhatsApp's built in LED control doesn't seem to want to work with Light Flow.

I think the app had an update where everything started working...

MissedIt plays well with Lightflow (full version).

I do have Missed It, which is why I know that it affected Light Manager, especially when it came to Whatsapp notifications.

Anyway, I moved back to Light Flow- far better app IMO, it now works in KitKat and works with Missed It.

EDIT: saw your subsequent post basically saying what I did :)

Honestly, I don't know that much about the app. Send me a screenshot of your setup of you don't mind.

I'm not very much fussed about the drain - only 2% over +-8hrs. What bothers me a bit is the overall drain over a day. It seems to behave okay-ish
 
How do one see the wakelocks caused by an app?

I don't find Light Flow a battery hog - doesn't even feature on my battery usage app list.
 
Most of you already know this, but it is still an interesting read.

The link in the thread has quite a lot of info on various subjects and some of the info comes directly from a Google informant
