Google Nexus 5

Agreed. Also the first Android phone to accurately represent colors in the sRGB space (Samsung's phones are waaaaaaay off) http://anandtech.com/show/7517/google-nexus-5-review/5

In other words - it is the most accurate Android display in terms of colours on the market. :)
Ftfy :p

I keed I keed.

I would also say the build quality is much nicer (less plasticky) than Samsung's.
All the top-tier Android phones have nicer build quality than Samsung's: HTC, Sony, and LG.

So what's happened to your S4 now? Gone to the wife?

The sRGB versus RGB thing? Yeah - picked it up too and fixed my post. :)

Never had an S4 - did have a 4S (iPhone) though. Ordered a Sony Z1 for the wife (she's never used Android before so won't worry about stock Android, and likes having a physical camera button to take pics of our kids).

Ugh I confused you for merc there somehow. Same icon. Good grief I'm getting sloppy these past couple days. Blasted work interfering with my posting life.
And no the sRBG thing wasn't what I commented.

The updates roll out in a staggered approach:

Speaker, I can agree on.
Camera, not so much, especially after the 4.2.2 update and the feedback that has been provided from it.
The buttons- I guess that you are still used to plastic ones, not the ceramic buttons of the device. Is it the tactile feel of the buttons, or their operation?

Thanks for that explanation. Apologies, I'm an Android noob :D

As far as the buttons goes, yes, it is just the tactile feel of it. Works great, but just don't feel that great.

It's that time of the year. You're forgiven :p

No problem mate.

Ah, then I understand why you would not like it- it's not an uncommon thing, actually. A few people have mentioned that the buttons feel too sharp / rough / hard etc. Guess that it takes some getting used to.

What's the easiest way to get everything from my HTC Sensation over to the Nexus 5 ?

Everything as in user files (pictures, videos, music) or device related stuff (apps, contacts, bookmarks etc).

For the former- transfer to PC via USB, and transfer to Nexus 5. For the latter, you can sync everything to your Google account and restore it when you first link your account to the device.

Ok thanks, I was mainly concerned about contacts and sms's and app settings.

You know what, I think TB also backs up smses, now that I think about it. I've never used it, though.

Yes my young padawan...
:D
I use TB for backing up for all my backups, but I only restore non-rom related apps. Backup and restore contacts, sms/mms, wifi access points and internet favourites was added +-7 months ago (I think).
