Can anyone help me out ordering a 32GB Black Nexus 5, or maybe someone is bringing in some that I can order or even point me in a direction where I can purchase one (but not be ripped off)?
Define "ripped off", though...
i have seen some people selling them for R7000 and up. I have managed to setup my VPN and can access the store now. just a question, for my shipping address, can I select to ship directly to South Africa or should I use a service like Post-Box Courriers?
Google won't ship to South Africa, especially when the phone is not available here.
Use PostBox Courier, I recommend them, but be warned- your order may be cancelled. It's hit and miss ordering directly from Google, really.
Oh- and I saw that two 32Gb versions were sold on Carbonite for less than R5k... I think that SaiYaN was one of the buyers of that deal...

Yep. Ended up getting it for the amazing price of 4500(even with small marks) . Bankrupted every cent I had and didn't have but was worth it
I have been looking on Carbonite but have only seen the 16GB model. Will keep looking before I make the payment. I have heared that it is hit and miss but maybe will get lucky.
I have use PostBox Courier before and was very happy with their service. If I can't find one locally then that is the route I will try.
Still a bargain IMO...
Best of luck mate!
Hi,
I need some assistance with the FNB APN on the N5 (D820). I have input the FNB APN settings correctly and am not able to connect via this APN. FNB uses the Vodacom infrastructure so HSPDA+ infrastructure should be supported. I have disconnected all LTE connections as they are useless here (on Vodacom).
What could be the problem?
Your assistance is appreciated. Thanks.
I always thought that FNB used the MTN infrastructure?
Anyway, have you contacted FNB Connect to help you out?
Yep, FNB uses MTN's network.
Dropped my phone today...
But... it is fine! Thanks to the pouch wifey got me for the phone.
Not even a scratch!
FNB uses both VC and MTN. Just confirmed with FNB-C support.
Thanks for your feedback all.
