Google Nexus 5

Those are crazy prices!! Crazy good!

I was reading through the site though and it seems like you have to deal with customs directly.....not sure about that

Agreed , the red 32gb N5 also catches my eye!

What phone (if any) is closest to vanilla android and/or the Nexus 5 experience, as well as being officially available on contract from Vodacom/MTN/Cell C? If I can go the subsidised phone route then it's the path of least resistance :)

I'm not aware of any that offer that locally, unfortunately. If you're not in dire need of a phone then maybe consider just saving up and buying one cash?

Nothing that offers vanilla Android, I'm afraid. Best bet, may be to take a Note 3 or equivalent out on contract, sell that and buy the Nexus 5.

I dunno about buying from SA, but saguran has bought numerous devices from them with no problems. He lives in Dubai, though.

Like Orbital said, I have bought a lot from them, 100% no issues. Good service and the deliver quick. I have not bought from them outside UAE though.
 
So i am thinking of getting the Nexus 5. Just a couple of questions, how is the battery life in terms of screen on time. Also what happens when it gets broken? Where can you take it to get fixed. Are there any covers and screen protectors locally or do you have to import?
