I wish they'd release two size versions, like Apple did with the iPhone 6.
They did- the Moto X and Nexus 6![]()
Not quite the same specs, though.
Dammit, it looks even more appealing in the video...
True. But personally, I think it's a good thing. We need differentiation with these different model sizes. While people wanted a brand new Nexus 5, what is ignored is that a refresh would have pushed the cost up, for marginal gain.
I thought it was Nokia?Nexus 6 is the best phone to be bestowed upon humanity.

Nothing marginal about having the latest hardware possible. A 5.2" device with the same specs as the Nexus6 would have been salaciously desirable for me.
At what cost, though? The Nexus 5 is still the same price as it was last year, and is no slouch. Would you have paid the premium price Google are now selling their devices at?
2nd gen Moto X is a bit over 7K, so expect the Nexus 6 to be 8 - 8.5 K

It should have gone down in price, and a new ~5" model should have taken its place. That's Apple's cadence, and everyone else's. But Nexus devices have absolutely no consistency, which is part of what keeps them so marginal. At what cost, though? The Nexus 5 is still the same price as it was last year, and is no slouch.
I wouldn't say the Nexus 6 is premium priced; it's premium specced, whereas the N5 was cut on spec compared to the G2. Nexus 6 is in the same hardware league as the 6+ and it's $400 cheaper.Would you have paid the premium price Google are now selling their devices at?
