Quite disappointing actually, could be something to tide me over until a reasonably priced win 8 pro tablet comes along.

Given the decreasing value of money it makes sense to by it over 24 months. And R169pm isn't a very big obligation.

I assume they are either referring to the 32GB Wi-Fi only Nexus 7 that Hi-Fi Corporation was (is?) selling for R3000 or the fact that Google's Play Store sells the 32GB 3G Nexus 7 for $299 (R2642.40)

Esp given the recent performance of the Rand, who knows what R169 will be worth in 2yrs.

The price is R169 for 24 months . The product name is : ASUS1 Google Nexus 7 32GB . There is no mention of 3g anywhere. Where are you getting this information from?

It seems to be the wifi only one, as the FNB website doesnt mention anything about 3g

So, 4 grand for a wifi Nexus 7. Even if i buy one on credit from somewhere , at an interest rate of like 22% it will still be cheaper than getting it from FNB

The website device-list claims that it does have cellular functions, so it is the newer 32GB 3G model.

I phoned FNB, apparently it is.

So that would make it more like R120 p/m. Almost too good to pass up.

Well I bought mine cash and now i dont have to worry about paying, but that is an awesome deal nonetheless.

FNB have confirmed that this is the 3G version, very good deal considering the price. I've already bought a device on my cheque account, so sadly I don't qualify for this, otherwise I would have bought it :-(

I'm contemplating selling my iPad, paying off the full price with FNB and getting one of these
