The Android OS may be good, but the hardware looks like it was designed in the 1990's

Thats right, no turn by turn gps navigation. The only semi decent navigation software that I can use on my G1 is google maps but its cr*p without the t by t.

GMaps doesn't give turn-by-turn, but Telenav supplies such software and AndNav2 has it for the UK (might have more now, that was in December).
