Google will stop Chrome users from using ad-blockers

Fckers! Why take away choice? What happened to "don't be evil" Google?

I've now downloaded Firefox after many years. Might as well start getting used to it from now. Hoping it's good, I reckon they will see an increase in users.

Bloody hell, this is like when Google decided to disable call recording in Android.

Google did not think this one through at all if this is indeed their plan.

The moment they prevent adblockers will be the start of chrome decline for sure.

Unfortunately "don't be evil" does not pay enough money towards the google coffers and I guess the google advertisers have drummed up enough heat for google to attempt this move but its going to backfire if they actually go full force against adblockers.

They should just introduce a system within the browser whereby users specify if they want ads or not and then the websites can decide if they want that user or redirect them to another option ;)

I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner. I mean they business model is web ad based, why would they allow people the ability to block ads on their browser?

Hopefully the new Chromium Edge will be able to somehow support ad blockers.

Either way, I won't be using Chrome if it goes this way.
