Google's Telkom mobile payment method

I have tried selecting Telkom mobile as a payment method on Google Play Store but I keep on getting an error message teling me to try later.
Can someone help

Do you have a limit set on your account? I had a R50 limit on how much I could go over, so mine failed when I try to buy a R80 app. Had to up it with R30 on MyTelkom.

The thing is is is for the first time I an registering my telkom prepaid SIM as a payment method on Google Play Store. I chose Telkom mobile payment method and all I get is an error message "THE ACCOUNT VERIFICATION SMS COULD NOT BE SENT, PLEASE TRY AGAIN".

Hance I cannot buy any app.

Or can you briefly explain how you managed to register your Telkom SIM as payment method on Google

I can't remember how I did it, but it wasn't difficult. Might be that you're roaming on MTN, try forcing it on Telkom's own network? (though roaming on MTN gives better coverage) Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

#1 I am roaming on Mtn network because Telkom's network is 10 light years away to coming to my town.

#2 Which cellphone number is your primary (recovery number) on your Google account? Telkom or another network? because mine is Voda
