Got my 2010 WC tickets

In the email go to the 'Ticketing link'.Then click on ticketing on the website,its a banner.Then view application.Then click 'pay for these' and the rest is simple enough :)

Ticket Application Number : *blocked for prying eyes*
Status : Application Paid

I've done that, perhaps I'm being daft, but I'm not seeing the "pay for these" part - I've even done a search on the page for the phrase.

Could you specify where about on the page it is?

I have a feeling they tried taking payment before I received the email and I've forfeited the tickets.
 
Once you get to view your ticket application status and click on it,it should pop up..Unless you have already paid for it?I'v received no payment confimation email yet...
 
Hmmm... the payment card I selected to use is a VISA Debit card, so I don't know what they'd do there... my mates overseas had payments taken automatically - before any communication from FIFA.

I'll just run through what I see.

1. Click on "view application"
2. get a screen saying I'm requsting an enctypted page, etc
3. Page saying "Review ticket application status" - click on that
4. Then page with my ticket details, but nothing else - no link to pay etc.

My status is "Application pending to pay"

Are you using Internet Explorer, Firefox or other browser?

I'm grasping at straws here, aren't I?
 
I knew I should have transferred funds into my account on 14 April...

Losing out on WC tickets is a high price to pay for laziness...

I've emailed the ticketing centre twice (once last week to clarify something - which they didn't and again today about this - no reply yet... (last week it took 30 minutes!!! Shockingly quick)

No idea whats wrong...you tried phoning them?

Didn't see a phone number - just an email addy for the ticketing centre.

Emailed them before I saw this thread - no reply as yet.

People who received the "unsuccessful email" were told this:

We regret to inform you that your application was unsuccessful.

Details of your ticket application will be retained on our “First Sales Phase Waiting List.” Should payment from applicants who were successful in the Random Selection Process fail for some reason, we will contact individuals on the First Sales Phase Waiting List to offer them the opportunity to acquire some or all of the tickets they requested during the first sales phase.

The First Sales Phase Waiting List will expire on 1st May 2009. If you would like your application to be removed from the First Sales Phase Waiting List, please select the ‘Waiting List’ link at the end of this communication.

edit: I thought it could be browser related - swapped to IE, without any success.
 
I've got the following at Greenpoint:
1) Match 11 - F1 v F2 - 14 June
2) Match 30 - G4 v G2 - 21 June
3) Match 56 - R16 - 1H v 2G - 29 June

Strange thing, the money came off my CC already, but no confirmation email and on the FIFA web-site the status says "Status : Application Pending To Pay". :confused:
 
Another person I know had the same issue, Fiekus.

They have now received the email (on Saturday), but it still says "pending to pay" on the web...

She had used a MasterCard, rather than Visa though - who knows what happens with non-partners... *shrugs*
 
Any news on this issue HWA - please let me know. I need to check my Credit Card statement to see if their was any money taken off.

We acknowledge receipt of your email.

It is our intention to provide a response within five to seven working
days.

In the meantime if you require any further assistance please do not

I'm just wondering how it's going to work - FIFA, on it's website says in one place that they try to take payment immediately and if you can't pay you forfeit the tickets. In another they say that if payment fails you'll have a certain amount of time to correct that.

Now with the 2nd phase looming, they either use May 1 as a cut-off, so if you've not paid you don't get your 1st phase tickets - OR they give you a certain grace period from the first phase to pay, and then list the "returns" during the second phase?

It goes through that status. Took 4 work days for mine to move from that status to receiving a confirmation email. We used a master card.
 
Update on communication from FIFA: There has been no reply yet.
