I mean it’s not a small indie game and the scope of it is bigger than ever.
6000 people are working on this game, that doesn’t go smoothly.

RDR2 was also delayed twice. It's just how they roll.
Launch title for next gen consoles
It will be interesting to see how they navigate a potential PS6 release in 2027, but these games aren't really gen specific. GTA5 was released on PS3, yet somehow still sells bucketloads today on PS5.

Nooit, they know folks would gladly double dip on their games. Six months to a year until pc gets it.
Give some lame excuse about optimisation to justify it.

Glad leadership is willing to delay rather than releasing something when it's clearly not ready yet. Cough CDPR Cough.
True, but I suspect on PS5 it will be 30fps and 60fps on PS6 and obviously better resolution and probably some bumped up ray / path tracing etc.

If it's a straight up FPS question yea, probably...but usually they take their time implementing latest tech from consoles. Looks like the PS5 native version of GTA5 took 1.5 years to release.
Anyway, lots of stuff already releasing in 2026 so I'm not exactly bothered

PS5 will hardly be "latest tech" by the time this game is released, it will be close to EOL. It's not even latest tech right now...

5-6, they only really started work in 2020.
